I’m surprised at how often I hear agents from other companies say they don’t believe in holding Open Houses on their listings. I usually translate that in my head to mean, “I don’t want to spend the time and effort holding open houses.” Yes, there is work involved to prepare for them, and yes, they take a chunk out of your weekend, but there is no better way to meet bonafide customers in person. The best website and the coolest tech tools don’t compare to a face-to-face meeting for creating a lasting relationship. The hardest working and most successful agents know this is one marketing tool they will never give up. Open houses are a solid part of the toolkit for our Ann Arbor real estate agents. We typically hold more than all our competitors combined on Sundays. We’ve got the sales statistics to prove they are well worth our time and energy.
